This years competition will see the competitors challenged over 8 gruelling events. From staple events such as pulling trucks, pressing giant logs overhead and lifting heavy stones to some less familiar events this year the athletes will be pushed to their limits in an effort to earn the title of Australia’s Strongest Man and Woman.
10:00am-11:30am- Event 1: The Super Yoke
The super yoke is a traditional strongman competition event where the competitors must pick up a huge “yoke” frame on their shoulders and carry it 20m in the fastest time possible.
12:00pm-1:30pm- Event 2: The Log Lift
The Log Lift is a staple event in strongman competition with the competitors lifting and pressing overhead a giant log with the weight increasing each time. The heaviest weight lifted will determine the winner.
2:00pm-3:30pm- Event 3 The Power Stairs
In this event the competitors must lift a series of odd shaped objects of different weights and sizes up the set of stairs one in the fastest time possible.
4:00pm-5:30pm- Event 4 Farmers Walk
The heavy farmers walk will be contested head to head with each athlete required to carry the implements over the course pushing the limits of their grip strength and conditioning. The athletes will be racing the clock and each other to cover the distance in the fastest time possible.
10:00am-11:30am- Event 5: The Deadlift
The ultimate test of raw static strength. How much weight can 1 man or woman lift from the floor. Max deadlift under strongman rules with a competition deadlift bar and competition lifting plates. The heaviest weight lifted wins and you can expect to see the majority of the field lift in excess of 350kg for the men and 2ookg for the women!
12:00pm-1:30pm- Event 6: The DB & Axle Press Medley
A unique and challenging event the athletes will be lifting and pressing overhead the Stand Or Submit Monster DB & the Apollon’s Wheel for repetitions. Most repetitions completed in total will win
2:00pm-3:30pm- Event 7: Mystery Event
Strongman is about being strong and ready for anything. This year on each day of the competition the athletes will be faced with a mystery event.
4:00pm-5:30pm- Event 8: The Atlas Stones
One of the most iconic strongman events the competitors must lift and load onto a platform 5 round stones made of concrete in increasing weight and size. The athletes will be pushing record weights this in excess of 200kg for the men and 130kg for the women!
All competitors must be members of the Arnold Strongman Australia to compete at Arnold Strongman Australia Competitions
